Dogs will be artificially inseminated or bred specifically to produce larger litters. To gain more meat in a less time, dog breeds will be genetically engineered for rapid growth just as livestock animals have been.

This is nothing new. The press already reported some years ago on attempts to create so-called "super dogs" using artificial insemination.

The creation of a "super dog" will involved putting many dogs through animal testing, genetic engineering, or using various growth drugs on them.

The female breeding dogs will be forced to have continuous pregnacies to give birth to the maximum number of litters. Puppies will never know motherly care. Once the fertility rate of breeding females drops, they too will be headed for the slaughterhouse

Puppies that will be separated at birth from their mothers to endure lives of overwhelming fear, deprevation and suffering. They will be slaughtered within a few months of their births.

Research From Other Welfare Groups

In 2005, horrific conditions were found in two dog farms in Incheon (near Seoul). Government officials were complicit in a number of abuses that occurred and added to them. The following file documents the cases and includes extensive and graphic pictures of the horrors that were found. Click to view.

In 2008, the French organization One Voice conducted an investigation into China's horrific dog meat industry. You would be naive to think the same kinds of things do not happen in Korea.
