The majority of the restaurants that served dog meat have closed or switched to other businesses since the Dog Meat Festival in October, 2003, according to the owner of the supermarket in Pangyo City.

Pangyo City is infamous for its dog casserole festival. At present, there are various restaurants with six restaurants serving dog as main entrée; around two to four are Naeng-myun Houses, and there is one Chinese restaurant and one family style restaurant.
