KARA members near the fountain outside Sangam Stadium.
The 6th Green Film Festival in Seoul was held at the Sangam CGV cinema complex attached to Seoul's Sangam Stadium from May 21 to 27. On Sunday afternoon of the 24th, KARA set up a table with information brochures and some boards on the pavement outside the CVG for people to peruse. Other "green" groups were there, too.

Placards outside the cinema to catch the attention of passer's by.
The plan was to hand out literature and generally advertise KARA's presence before attending a viewing of some "green" film shorts.

It was gratifying to see the interest shown by members of the public.

A number of KARA members walked around and gave out information brochures in the area. Others kept busy at the booth that was set up.

While some KARA members continued handing out brochures, others went on a parade to the fountain area of the stadium, where lots of kids and families were relaxing and having fun.

The kids loved the big three-legged Collie (who is also an avid KARA member). He attracted attention wherever he went. Kids in Seoul don't often get a chance to see big dogs. That natural impulse in kids to want to befriend animals, that joy and amazement they show--it's a shame some people lose that as they age.

Towards 5 pm, KARA packed up to head off and view a number of very interesting green film shorts.
Afterwards, in one cinema, WWF International held a workshop with Martin Atkins, Director, External & Media Relations for WWF in attendance. He spoke of new directions in "green" film making and fielded questions. KARA members made sure he got some literature on KARA, and we had a chat with him outside of the cinema.

Martin Atkins in the white jacket had a chat with KARA's future Director, Ms. Soon Yae Yim (top), who is a movie director with best picture awards to her credit, and other KARA members.

All in all, it was an enjoyable and successful afternoon. Kids, adults and dogs all had a good time.
