Here are pictures of some of the poor animals killed in the fire at Buchon Miracle Shelter. Approximately 130 animals died in the tragedy.
The memorial was held at the Angel Stone funeral house and crematorium.
Plenty of people came to pay their last respects and are here shown carrying the ashes, after the animals were properly cremated.
Much of the event was along the lines of a traditional Buddhist funeral ceremony.
Everything was much like a traditional Korean funeral, including food offerings for the departed
Here are some treats they would have loved.
The urns with the ashes are placed with gifts on shelves. Below are the many messages people wrote on slips of paper that were then attached to a tree.
