Back in February Nina, a KARA member, posted news on the KARA forum about a terrible story that had been broadcast on the SBS Animal Farm program.
SBS got information about some unexplained disappearances of dogs from a village in the Asan region. Villagers said that 18 dogs had disappeared, so SBS sent a team to investigate. With the help of a expert the SBS team found the body of one of the missing dogs and concluded that it must had been killed by wild animals.
Everyone thought a bear or wild pig was responsible, but the culprit was discovered to be a yellow dog!
The poor dog must have escaped from a dog farm then hunted other dogs for food. People who have worked on dog farms say that farmed dogs are sometimes fed the internal organs and remains of dogs. So that's possibly where the yellow dog got its taste for eating dog. So, a dog farm somewhere turned this yellow dog into a monster stalking prey.

The above pictures show a) a dog that had been attacked by the yellow dog, b) the remains of a dog that had been killed, and c) the yellow dog spotted by the road by the SBS crew.
The yellow dog was caught and ended up in Busan city shelter.
But the good news is that now he has been adopted by a guy named Jane's Grandpa. The dog also has a name now, Gwidong.

He is a big dog!
You can see more about it at http://blog.naver.com/autocafe/112989471
This September, 7 months after the initial report, SBS is doing a follow up on Gwidong by popular request.
Jane's Grandpa is very famous among animal lovers. He is an animal protection inspector and runs a shelter in Asan near Cheonan. He's also the manager of an online Naver cafe called "With Amiko" which seeks to treat animals with disease and adopt out strays from the city shelter. Many of dogs have been cured and treated and adopted thanks to Jane's Grandpa.
Another thing he has done is pay for a CCTV to be mounted at Dea Joen's Busan city shelter. He actually wants to install CCTV in all shelters.
