On July 9, 2011, the first day of KARA's summer campaign, Saebok was found by KARA volunteers wandering around and apparently abandoned. She was sick and weak and also injured. It's unlikely she would have lasted much longer on the streets.

Saebok is a Shih-tzu and is estimated to be about 10 years old. She has a broken cervical vertebrae. The vet said she’s still too weak to have a proper MRI, and we'll wait for his leukocyte count to come down so he can be properly assessed and operated on.

At one stage, he was having trouble breathing, but now he’s eating well and seems to be getting better.

She's a cute girl, so hopefully there won't be too much trouble getting her adopted.

Update: August 25, 2011

Unfortunately, Saebok's health failed and she died on August 19.

She was taken to a crematorium and her ashes were collected for burial.
