As you can see from these photos, a large majority of dogs were probably once house pets. These are typical of the small dogs people keep in apartments in Korea.

Here you see some doing some cleaning while dogs mill around.

All dogs have shelter from the elements, plenty of companionship, and a little space to run around.

There are even some dogs housed indoors. You can see how crowded these kinds of shelters get, and thus have much food aid and constructions assistance they need.

The good thing is that all the dogs are safe, very well feed, and have somewhere to call home.
