For many years KARA has been helping out private no-kill shelters in Korea with food aid and funding for development projects. On these pages we document some of the help given and show where food and funding goes.
KARA supports over 20 private shelters, which often started out with one devoted individual trying to help animals.
For example, one shelter KARA is helping was started by a woman who took in abandoned dogs she found at a local park. Unfortunately, vacationers often abandon their dogs at parks and along local streams and she happened to be near a favorite "abandonment" spot.
Sadly, dog abandonment is a big problem in Korea and creates a pressing need for shelters and shelter aid.

How You Can Help
KARA is a volunteer organization that relies on support from the community. You can help us by donating so that we can continue to fight for the protection and rights of animals in Korea.
Besides the donate button, if you have a PayPal account, you can use the send by email function to send a donation to donate@animalrightskorea.org. This saves us paying a fee to PayPal.
