KARA Cleans Up Bansongwon Shelter After Construction Work PDF Print E-mail

nov2011-bansongwon-1

On November 27, 2011 KARA visited the Bansongwon Shelter, located in Chungnam province. It has been undergoing improvements, so it was a bit of a mess, with some construction equipment still lying around.

The new house was built with fundraising money and it certainly looks a lot better compared to how it did on KARA's last visit.

For this trip, staff from the Book Factory joined KARA volunteers. The Book Factory makes books featuring animals and related stories. Staff from the Royal-Canin pet food company also helped out later in the day.

The shelter also has cats.

While some volunteers cleaned, others put in more fencing.

You can from the way the volunteers are covered up and their raincoats are being blown around that it was a cold and blustery day.

The Book Factory and Royal-Canin kindly donated a large amount of dog food, which was delivered by truck. Staff from Royal-Canin stayed on after delivery and help with volunteering work.

And below are some of the happy residents!

Thanks to all concerned!
